Nature provides the extraordinary ingredients that make Saphara teas so special, and we feel a special obligation to minimize the impact of our products on the earth.

Saphara teas are crafted and packaged using environmentally conscious manufacturing processes and packaging materials. Our cartons are 100% recycled paperboard made from at least 35% post-consumer waste material, and all packaging—including cartons, pyramid bags, strings, tags and bag overwraps—is completely biodegradable. We even use only vegetable-based biodegradable inks in printing the cartons.

The Best of Nature

Saphara uses the best of nature for both our blends and our packaging. Biodegradable products are those that can be broken down by biological means into the raw materials of nature. This means that the components of the products can return safely to the environment without releasing harmful substances, and can accomplish this without the addition of chemicals or other matter to help the process along.

Simply put, materials that come from nature will return to nature as long as they remain in relatively natural form. Saphara has taken special care to select packaging materials that will return to nature when disposed of properly. Of course, Saphara encourages you to recycle where facilities exist.
